Hail Damage: Adam Parks

NAME: Adam Parks

CLAIM TYPE: Hail Damage

LOCATION: Roof

ESTIMATE

Before: virtually $0 Settled: $14,269.63

THE SITUATION

The insured had minor damage to his roof and was unlikely to settle a claim after a hail storm. Midwestern explained that due to minor implications, it would be rare to get the insurance company to agree on a full roof replacement. Since, he had a wood shake roof, the goal was to get as close as possible to a new asphalt roof since there was damage to other areas on the roof valley metal.

THE SOLUTION

The claim started at practically no damage to the dwelling. After Midwestern’s involvement, the claim was settled at $14,269.63. After fees, the insured got a new roof and didn’t have to come out of pocket that much more than the deductible.

“My insurance company significantly undervalued the hail damage to my wood shake roof. Jason’s help in the appraisal process nearly doubled my insurance payment so that I was able to afford a full roof replacement rather than settle for a patch repair.”
